How to Turn On/Off ClaudIA in Cloud Chat

Last updated on Jun 15, 2026

When to Use

  • You want to pause ClaudIA directly in Cloud Chat without relying on the Cloud Humans team

  • You need to quickly re-enable after maintenance or a period of uncertainty

  • You want native control within the platform itself

Prerequisites

  • Be logged in as an administrator in Cloud Chat

  • Know how to identify the automation [Cloud Humans] Trigger for Assignment

Only change the activation state of the automation (turn on/off). Do not edit or remove the conditions of the rule — incorrect changes may break ClaudIA's operation across all tickets.

About this article

In Cloud Chat, ClaudIA is assigned to each conversation through an automation called [Cloud Humans] Trigger for Assignment. This automation assigns tickets to the AI. To turn off ClaudIA, simply deactivate this automation; to turn it on again, just re-enable it.

This article is specific for users who operate ClaudIA within Cloud Chat. If your operation runs on an external helpdesk (Zendesk, Intercom, etc.), the control to turn on/off is handled differently — see the articles in Notes.

How to turn off ClaudIA

Step 1 — Access Settings → Automation

In Cloud Chat, go to Settings and open the Automation section.

Step 2 — Find the assignment automation and disable it

In the list of automations, locate [Cloud Humans] Trigger for Assignment.

Step 3 — Disable the automation

Turn off the activation toggle of this automation.

With the automation deactivated, no new conversations will be assigned to ClaudIA — tickets will go directly to the human agents queue.

How to turn it back on

  1. Go back to Settings → Automation

  2. Re-locate the [Cloud Humans] Trigger for Assignment automation

  3. Re-enable the toggle of the automation

Once the automation is reactivated, ClaudIA will again be automatically assigned to new conversations without any other actions needed.
