When to use
-
You want an expert agent to consult or record information in another company system, such as calendar, CRM, email, or spreadsheet.
-
For example, you want ClaudIA to see available times and schedule meetings in Google Calendar during the support session.
-
You need an app that doesn't have a ready-made tool in ClaudIA and prefer not to set up your own MCP server.
Pre-requisites
-
The Integrations tab must be enabled for your project. It is activated by the Cloud Humans team: if you don't see the tab, ask your point of contact.
-
To connect, reconnect, or disconnect an app, you must be a company administrator. Other users can authorize actions for connected apps for the specialists.
-
An account in the app you will connect (e.g., your Google account for the team calendar).
Authorization is handled by the Cloud Humans integration partner. Each connection applies to all company projects. When the app requests an API key, it goes directly to the partner and is not stored in ClaudIA.
Step-by-step
Step 1 β Open the Integrations tab
Access ClaudIA β Tools and click on the Integrations tab, next to Tools. There you'll find the connected apps and their status.
Step 2 β Connect an app
-
Click Add integration.
-
Search for the app by name or function, or browse categories (CRM, Calendar, Email, Helpdesk, Financial, etc.).
-
Click Connect. Most apps will open login in a separate window; some may ask for an API key.
-
Complete login and authorize access. The app card will appear as Connected.
If your browser blocks the login window, enable popups for CloudChat and click Connect again.
Step 3 β Grant actions to specialists
-
On the connected app card, click Grant to specialists.
-
Select the specialist from the list.
-
In Add action, search and add actions they can use. Each action shows whether it is Read (view only) or Write (create or modify data in the app).
-
Click Save changes.
You can also choose integration actions when creating or editing a specialist in the Tools step.
Step 4 β Test and publish
Actions go into the draft of the specialist. Test in the Test (Playground) of the Agents screen, and when everything is ready, click Publish to activate in conversations.
Notes
-
Grant only the actions the specialist really needs and prefer Read actions when possible. Write actions create or modify real data in the connected app.
-
If the authorization expires or is revoked in the app, the card will show Reconnect needed, and the used actions are paused until an administrator reconnects.
-
Disconnecting an app affects all company projects: specialists will stop using its actions immediately, including in active conversations.
-
For apps not listed in the catalog, continue using ClaudIA's MCP Servers.
