How to test ClaudIA in the Playground

Last updated on Aug 02, 2026

When to use it

  • Validate a change to content, flow or agent before publishing it

  • Simulate a conversation from the customer's point of view

  • Compare how different versions or agents respond to the same message

  • Investigate why ClaudIA answered in a certain way

Prerequisites

  • Access to the ClaudIA tab in Cloud Chat

  • At least one ClaudIA project set up

About the Playground

Before taking a change live, it's worth checking how ClaudIA will actually respond. In the Playground you can run that test calmly: you talk to her as if you were the customer, see the result right away and adjust whatever is needed — without affecting any real conversation.

The Playground is an isolated environment: no message sent there reaches your customers.

How to open it

The Playground is on the ClaudIA screen. Click the Playground button at the bottom of the side menu — the panel opens on top of the screen, without interrupting what you were doing.

Set up your test

These are the panel's controls:

  1. Projeto (Project) — the ClaudIA project you want to test

  2. Fluxo / Agente (Flow / Agent) — who will answer (detailed below)

  3. Reiniciar conversa / Copiar ID (Restart conversation / Copy ID) — start a new test or save the conversation identifier

  4. Simular conversa de Helpdesk (Simulate Helpdesk conversation) — test with the context of a real ticket (see further below)

At the bottom there is the message field, where you write as if you were the customer (it also accepts attachments and audio).

In the Fluxo / Agente (Flow / Agent) selector, the options are organized in groups so you can quickly find what you are looking for:

  • Base — ClaudIA's default configuration

  • AB keys — variations you created to compare behaviors

  • Supervisores (Supervisors) — the main agent, which leads the conversation

  • Sub-agentes (Sub-agents) — a specialized agent, to test it in isolation

Test with the context of a real ticket

Sometimes you don't want to start from scratch, but rather see ClaudIA inside a specific situation. To do that, use the Simular conversa de Helpdesk (Simulate Helpdesk conversation) option: paste the ticket ID and ClaudIA starts answering with the same context she would have in that real conversation.

While the ticket is connected, a notice stays visible in the panel. To use another ticket, just restart the conversation.

How to simulate a conversation

Write a message the way a customer would and click Enviar (Send). ClaudIA answers right away.

You don't have to finish everything at once: the conversation is saved, so you can close the panel and resume it later.

Follow what happens behind the scenes

When you want to understand how ClaudIA reached an answer, turn off the Ocultar chamadas de tool (Hide tool calls) option. The panel then shows the path she took — the lookups, the transfers and the moment she triggers a specialized sub-agent, which appears highlighted with the name of the agent in charge.

Notes

  • The Playground is for testing; it does not publish anything. When you are happy with the behavior, publish the changes so they go live.
