In this tutorial, you'll learn how to create a new inbox using WhatsApp in Cloud Chat.
Step 0: Before we begin, you will need the following information at hand:

The legal name of your company and your desired WhatsApp display name.

The complete URL of your business website.

The business email address of your company.

Administrator permissions for your company’s Meta Business Suite.

Access to the company's phone number that is going to be integrated.
- Please make sure that the phone number is able to receive phone calls to complete Meta's verification process.

Step 1: Begin by navigating to settings.
Step 2: Proceed to the inboxes section.
Step 3: Click on Add Inbox:
Step 4: Then, click on WhatsApp:
Step 5: On the Whatsapp Channel screen, choose the provider Embedded Signup and enter your preferred Inbox Name. Then, click on Sign in with Whatsapp to begin the embedded flow:
Step 6: On the newly opened Facebook pop-up, use your Meta developer/manager account to login:
Step 7: After successfully logging in, click on Continue:
Step 8: Choose your Meta business portfolio and click on Next:
Step 9: Select Create a WhatsApp Business Account and click Next:
Step 10: On this section, type in your preferred WhatsApp Business Account Name, display name and choose a valid Category:
Step 11: On this section, choose Add a new number, enter your business phone number and verify it. Note that if your number is a landline number, or a digital number, you have to verify it via Phone call:
Step 12: Finally, after verifying your number successfully, click on Finish to proceed with your inbox configuration.
Note: If you have not yet added a payment method to your business portfolio, you can click on the Add payment method button to be redirected to your billing configuration. You must have a valid payment method to send proactive WhatsApp messages.
Step 13: Add agents to your new inbox
Step 14: After configuring the inbox agents, click on Add agents. Your inbox is now ready to send and receive WhatsApp messages!
⚠️ Usage Limitation
Messages sent or received via WhatsApp Desktop (Windows) or WhatsApp on WearOS will not be reflected in Cloud Chat.
Please use WhatsApp Web (browser) or the official mobile app to ensure messages are properly synced.
